Preparing Compatible Powder Reagents

Created by Reef Kinetics, Modified on Thu, 3 Apr at 1:04 PM by Reef Kinetics

It is not recommended to use powder-based reagents unless absolutely necessary. We prefer to avoid them when possible and can assist you in sourcing liquid-based test kits instead.

However, if you need to prepare powder-based compatible test kits for the ReefBot, follow these steps:

  1. Mix 15 spoons of the powder solution with 15ml of RODI water (0 TDS).

  2. Stir the solution vigorously until no crystals are visible.

  3. These mixtures typically last between 2-4 weeks before requiring replacement.
