White Color Results

If you notice white colors after a test, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

1. Lack of Water in the Testing Chamber

  • Ensure the silicon “sample” tube is connected properly to the water tank with no air bubbles.

  • Calibrate your testing chamber pump

2. Lack of Chemical Reagents

  • Check if the chemical reagent levels are above the minimum permissible level (typically 30-40%) and if they are placed in the correct positions.

  • Solution:

    • To check reagent quantities:

      1. Log in to the Reef Kinetics App.

      2. Go to your Bot.

      3. Open the Dashboard.

      4. Check the percentage of each reagent.

      5. Observe the vials.

3. Clogged Syringe

  • Observe if the syringe is withdrawing reagents and water during the test. If it isn't, the syringe might be clogged. To save time, you can set the "Syringe Value Check" from the "Device Hardware Tests" from the Test setup page and run this test that will initiate a short test that will only move the syringe to the RODI chamber to withdraw water.

  • Solution if that's the case: Replace the syringe with a new one.

4. The Black Stirrer Motor Not Functioning

  • During the test chamber calibration, observe if the black spinner is spinning properly under the test chamber while draining.

  • Solution: If it's not spinning, please contact support.

5. Missing White Magnetic Stirrers in the Chambers

  • Check the test chamber to ensure the white magnetic stirrers are inside.
